Protecting Scotland’s flora and fauna
Explore the Scottish Highlands, a region of Europe that is still home to a rich and diverse array of flora and fauna. Our partner, Fronteering, will place you on biodiversity conservation projects in Scotland. You’ll have the opportunity to get involved at various sites within a network of nature reserves. The ecosystems you’ll be working in are varied: forests, meadows, peatlands, coastal reserves, mountains and urban reserves. As you’ll have the chance to work at numerous sites, this will give you a broad-based experience in the conservation of natural environments, as well as providing valuable support to the programme. This eco-volunteering programme offers the chance to discover Scotland and the fabulous Highlands region. There you may spot the European wildcat, the white-tailed eagle, the European otter, the osprey and the golden eagle!
