Wildlife conservation volunteering in Kenya
Eco-volontaire lists carefully selected volunteer projects in Kenya, run by local NGOs, associations or specialised volunteering agencies that we have vetted for their ethics and their real impact on biodiversity.
What you can do:
– Join a wildlife conservation programme near Lake Nakuru National Park: monitor endangered Rothschild’s giraffes, survey species and learn about human–wildlife coexistence alongside wildlife rangers.
– Experience daily life on an eco-friendly farm in the heart of the Great Rift Valley.
– Join a summer camp for teenagers combining cultural discovery, community service and exploration of Kenya’s protected nature reserves.
Who it’s for: the Lake Nakuru programme is open from age 16; the summer camp is designed for teenagers. No scientific background is needed.
Languages: English, Swahili, French (some projects).
How it works: contact the partner organisation directly through Eco-volontaire, free of charge. You book with them at their own price: using Eco-volontaire adds nothing to what you pay.
