Sea turtle and elephant volunteering in Thailand
Eco-volontaire lists carefully selected volunteer projects in Thailand, run by local NGOs, associations or specialised volunteering agencies that we have vetted for their ethics and their real impact on biodiversity.
What you can do:
– Protect sea turtles on a quiet, non-touristy island, and follow them from egg-laying to hatching.
– Join a summer camp for teenagers dedicated to the conservation of Asian elephants, an endangered species, while helping improve local infrastructure and discovering Thai culture.
Who it’s for: the sea turtle project is open to volunteers aged [âge minimum] and over; the elephant summer camp is designed for teenagers. No scientific background is needed.
Languages: English, Thai.
How it works: contact the partner organisation directly through Eco-volontaire, free of charge. You book with them at their own price: using Eco-volontaire adds nothing to what you pay.
