The ecovolunteer is involved in three different projects in Iceland

This multi-project program lets you explore Iceland, while promoting sustainable development and protecting biodiversity. You'll be working at the Siglufjörður, BRÚ and Krýsuvík sites.

  • Siglufjörður : in Siglufjörður, the main activity is forestry. You will work closely with the Icelandic Forestry Association and local associations. Your tasks will depend on the needs of the local community and the season. You can also be involved in beach clean-up operations!
  • BRÚ: BRÚ's main activity is beach clean-ups. Over and above the tonnes of garbage collected on the beaches every year, beach clean-ups are an excellent way for volunteers to raise awareness of the waste problem. It's also a way to get moving!
  • Krýsuvík: in Krýsuvík, the mission is to develop local, organic and sustainable agriculture. Your work will involve caring for the land in a variety of ways, in close collaboration with local associations.

You'll take part in various workshops on global warming and sustainable development. This multi-project volunteer program in Iceland begins with a 2-day pre-camp in Reykjavik.
