Explore the geological and biological wealth of the Baronnies Provençales during a stay that combines scientific discovery and relaxation. All participative science stays here
A better understanding of paleobiodiversity
This stay offers an active immersion in scientific research, in a real participative science approach. By following precise paleontological protocols, participants contribute to the Alpes de Haute-Provence Geopark's databases. Every observation made in the field contributes to a better understanding of paleobiodiversity and the evolution of regional landscapes.
Accessible to all, whether beginner or enthusiast, this experience offers an opportunity to discover the working methods of researchers and to participate in a concrete way in the study of the local geological and fossil heritage.
Scientific exploration
Each morning, participants set off on a walk around sites chosen for their geological and ecological interest. Accompanied by a specialist, they observe landscapes shaped by time, look for fossils, identify local flora and fauna, and learn to interpret rock strata as witnesses to the Earth's history.
Culture, relaxation and sensory immersion
Afternoons alternate between cultural activities and relaxation:
- Visits and meetings with local actors in Montbrun-les-Bains, craftsmen and naturalists.
- Participative workshops on fossil studies, cartography or species identification.
- Relaxation, reading, thermal baths or peaceful observation of the surrounding nature.
The days end with a hearty dinner, followed by themed evenings: discussions on the evolution of the landscape, Baronnies tales or star-gazing, far from light pollution.
- From 8/06/26 to 12/06/26
