Wildlife refuge in Tasmania
Our partner Fronteering, will place you in a wildlife rescue center in Tasmania, Australia. The center cares for various wild animals, including the famous Tasmanian devil, an endemic species currently in danger. In fact, the Tasmanian devil population is declining rapidly! They are suffering from a disease transmitted by their saliva, which is spreading rapidly through their population.
The endangered Tasmanian devil
Throughout Tasmania, efforts are being made to stop this disease and prevent the Tasmanian devil from disappearing like its extinct cousin, the Tasmanian tiger. The aim of the center in which you will be placed is to care for and release Tasmanian devils back into the wild.
