Protecting Scotland's flora and fauna
Explore the Scottish Highlands, a European region still home to a rich and diverse flora and fauna. Our partner Fronteering will place you in biodiversity protection projects in Scotland. You'll have the chance to get involved at different sites within a network of nature reserves. The ecosystems you'll be working in will be varied: forests, grasslands, peatlands, coastal reserves, mountains and urban reserves. As you will have the opportunity to work on a number of sites, you will gain cross-disciplinary experience of the conservation of natural environments, as well as providing valuable support to the program. This ecovolunteering program gives you the chance to discover Scotland and the fabulous Highlands region. You'll be able to spot the European wildcat, the white-tailed eagle, the European otter, the osprey and the golden eagle!
